Interrogation

Date Played: 03 March 2002

Game Date: Tuesday, 06 March 2001

Isaiah Daniels is put in charge of the team to interrogate Emma Coloris. General Ordesky is knows that the Black Book is up to something but does not know what. All the signs, troop movements, increased frequency of communications, etc, suggest that it is soon. Isaiah has 48 hours to find out what is going to happen.

He directs Alan McGregor, a CIA interrogation specialist, work for a whole day on Coloris with a wood file and a jar of salt. During this time, he plays mind games with her to force her to think of him as her savior. For example, when Alan takes a break, he ministers to her wounds with anesthetic to ease the pain. She soon comes to rely on his aid.

Now that Coloris is sufficiently weakened, Isaiah uses his Bio-PK to put her into trance. Now she is susceptible to his hypnotic talents.

The aim of the regression Isaiah attempts is to get back to a time where Coloris will accept him as an authority figure. He has trouble finding a stable authority figure in her recent past but, given her involvement in psychic research and the Black Book's collaboration with the Greys, this does not surprise him. The only stable time he can find is when she is eleven years old and she accepts him as her father.

As an eleven year old, Emma starts talking about the recurring dream that she has about the Grey doctors coming to take everyone away and operate on their brains. She says that she is always on the farm when this happens. People who have their brains operated on return somehow different. She cannot explain further.

As interesting as all this is for Isaiah, work comes first and he directs the question to the adult Emma. He shows the hypnotized eleven year old persona of Emma a photo of the adult Coloris and asks her is she know the lady in the picture. Emma says that the lady in the picture is "bad" and she does "bad" things. When asked what, Emma responds that the lady in the picture hurts people and hurts their brains. She does not know how or why.

Just as Isaiah believes he's getting somewhere, Alan comes in, breathless, and says, "It's begun."

The Black Book has conspired with local, state and federal law enforcement officials to arrest all the Aegis agents it knows about on terrorist charges -- murders, assassinations, break-ins, shoot-outs on public, improper use of privileged positions, etc. All the "bad" things the team has done are coming back to haunt them.

Isaiah receives word that his team has fled to Canada. He plans to join them.

His last request to Ordesky is to keep Coloris on ice somewhere so that he can get more out of her when this blows over.
