At this stage, I can't see it. Hollywood is trying to compete with the small screen - whether TV or monitor - and so it is concentrating on showing the big screen stuff that doesn't translate well to the smaller format. What we need is to return to an emphasis on character and story, regardless of the format in which it is displayed.

The amount of dross that gets pumped out of Hollywood these days makes me yearn for the halcyon days of my youth and such classics as "History of the World Part 1", "Ghostbusters" and, of course, "Flashdance". Do you think there will ever be a second Golden Age of Hollywood?

Yep. I've seen the Robot Chicken skit and loved it. Then, there's this: Breakfast as Directed by Michael Bay.

Apparently, the remake of Taking Pelham 123 is giantly retarded, which is a shame. Doesn't have to be that way, and some remakes improve on the original.

Also, have you seen the Robot Chicken Michael Bay trailer? (in Season Three) I think you'd dig it...
